“Arbat” square in Shymkent has become a meeting place for lawyers and residents.
This is how the organizers of the “People’s Lawyer” action created conditions for the citizens of the city to receive legal advice. As usual, the issues raised by visitors were varied.
Seytali Nahipov, a resident of the city, says that he has been struggling with land disputes for 19 years. He went to all relevant authorities. But the result is bitter.
Among the issues brought to the lawyers are housing queues, social payments, labor relations, alimony, inheritance and other issues.
During the action, about 80 residents were given free legal advice by representatives of local executive bodies, law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, bailiffs, lawyers and notaries.
The goal of the “People’s Lawyer” is to increase the legal literacy of residents and provide qualified legal assistance. Today’s meeting showed that such receptions should be held frequently and regularly.
