A large-scale regional agricultural fair featuring farmers and agricultural producers from Turkestan Region was held in Almaty. Residents and visitors of the city had an opportunity to purchase natural, high-quality and environmentally friendly products delivered directly from the southern region at affordable prices.
As part of the fair, 23 tons of horse meat, 21.5 tons of lamb, 20 tons of beef, 5 tons of camel meat and 15 tons of sausage products were delivered to Almaty. The fair also featured a wide range of fresh vegetables and melons, including 24 tons each of tomatoes and cucumbers, 23 tons of watermelons, 26.5 tons of onions, 23.5 tons of carrots, 22 tons of bell peppers, 21 tons of eggplants, as well as other fruits and vegetables.
The main objective of the event was to reduce the role of intermediaries and create favorable conditions for farmers to sell their products directly to consumers. The fair also aimed to provide residents of the metropolis with affordable and high-quality food products.
Such initiatives contribute to strengthening interregional economic cooperation, opening up new markets for domestic producers and supporting the stabilization of food prices in the city.
It is worth noting that Turkestan Region is one of the country’s leading regions in agricultural production. Since the beginning of the year, the region’s agro-industrial sector has produced agricultural products worth more than 450 billion tenge.
The fair in Almaty once again demonstrated the significant agricultural potential of Turkestan Region and provided valuable support to local farmers and producers.
