Akym of Turkistan Region Nuralhan Kusherov inspected the construction progress of a plant being built by Huating Biotechnology Co., LTD to produce fats and gelatin components in the Ordabasy district.
Located in the settlement of Temirlan, the facility is designed to promote the efficient utilization of livestock waste and the deep processing of animal bones. The plant will produce fat and gelatin components from livestock bones. The company is also exploring the possibility of grinding bones to manufacture various tableware and other products, as well as animal feed.
The total investment in the project amounts to KZT 9 billion, with KZT 2.5 billion invested in the first phase. The first phase is scheduled to be launched in September this year and will create 30 jobs. The facility is expected to produce 5,000 tonnes of fat and gelatin components annually. Once the project is fully implemented, 100 new jobs will be created.
Construction and installation work at the plant has now been completed, and the main technological equipment has been installed. Commissioning and start-up works are currently underway.
The investor plans to expand production in the future. In particular, the company is considering the possibility of processing livestock blood and producing additional products from it.
During the meeting, the regional akym proposed considering the supply of livestock bones collected at feedlots across the region to the facility. This would enable more efficient use of local raw materials and expand the agricultural processing value chain.
Nuralhan Kusherov emphasized the importance of launching the plant on schedule and instructed the heads of relevant regional departments and the district akym to promptly resolve issues related to fully providing the facility with the necessary engineering infrastructure.
The launch of the project is expected to contribute to the development of deep processing in the Ordabasy district, improve the utilization of livestock waste, and establish a new local production chain.
