Residents of Shymkent are actively participating in the election of deputies to the unicameral Kurultai. A total of 233 polling stations have been opened across the city, where citizens are coming to cast their votes.
Among those who took part in the voting were Shymkent Maslikhat deputy of the VIII convocation and founder of ADILET TV, entrepreneur Islambek Tolebayev, as well as entrepreneur Madisher Narsullauly.
Islambek Tolebayev emphasized the importance of the election for the country’s future.

“Today, the Kurultai election is coming to an end. It is very important for every citizen to participate in the vote, as the country’s economy and future depend on it. Everyone should make their own choice. I have also made my choice.”
Two polling stations are located at School No. 72 named after Sagadat Nurmagambetov in Shymkent. A total of 2,452 voters are registered at polling station No. 321.
According to Rauşan Rsymbetova, chairperson of the polling station commission, residents are actively taking part in the voting.

“Today, August 23, the election of Kurultai deputies is taking place. Voter turnout is active. There are 2,452 registered voters at our polling station. As of 12:00 p.m., 1,293 people had already cast their ballots. This is a historic period for our people. We have high hopes for the future.”
Voting will continue until 8:00 p.m. Every voter has the opportunity to exercise their right and make their choice.
Every vote is a choice that shapes the future of the country.
