Kazakhstan continues to comprehensively modernize its healthcare system. The country is increasing domestic pharmaceutical production, expanding medical infrastructure in the regions, taking measures to reduce the shortage of medical personnel, and actively introducing digital technologies.
These efforts are being carried out as part of the instructions outlined by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his Address to the People of Kazakhstan, titled “Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Current Challenges and Their Solutions through Digital Transformation.”
Particular attention is being paid to the development of the domestic pharmaceutical industry. The President has instructed to increase the volume and expand the range of medicines produced in Kazakhstan, as well as to introduce modern digital tools for monitoring the quality and volume of medical services.
The main goal of these reforms is to strengthen the sustainability of medicine supplies, make healthcare more accessible to the population, particularly in the regions, and improve the overall efficiency of the healthcare system.
Comprehensive digitalization of the sector will help strengthen quality control over medical services, increase transparency, and create additional opportunities for more effective and responsive management of the healthcare system.
