Akim of Shymkent Gabit Syzdykbekov, together with city officials, held a personal reception for residents to discuss their individual concerns and proposals. More than 180 citizens took part in the meeting, raising issues that are important to them.
The majority of requests concerned housing provision, public transport, education, energy supply and support for entrepreneurship.
Each request was considered individually, and residents were provided with relevant explanations in accordance with current legislation.
For issues requiring further review, responsible officials were appointed and specific instructions were issued. The progress of each request has been placed under monitoring.
The Akim instructed district heads and heads of city departments to ensure that citizens’ requests are considered thoroughly and in a timely manner, to monitor the implementation of decisions and to take residents’ proposals into account in future work.
Such meetings provide an important opportunity for direct dialogue between the city administration and residents and help ensure a prompt response to issues affecting the community.
