As part of the implementation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s instructions, the Government of Kazakhstan is carrying out comprehensive measures to modernize transport infrastructure and upgrade railway stations across the country.
As part of these efforts, the Tulkubas railway station in Turkistan Region has been fully renovated and officially put into operation.
The new facility is located in the village of Tulkubas in Tulkubas District. The opening ceremony was attended by Nurlan Kusherov, Akim of Turkistan Region. He inspected the completed construction works and reviewed the station’s material and technical facilities.
During the ceremony, the regional Akim congratulated residents and guests on the opening of the new station building and highlighted its importance for the development of transport infrastructure in the district. Following the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, he toured the station with the guests and reviewed the services available to passengers.
The station has been equipped in line with modern standards and can provide services to up to 186 passengers per day. The facility offers a full range of essential passenger services, including a spacious 90-seat waiting hall, ticket offices, an information desk and a cafeteria.
The new building also features a mother-and-child room, a dedicated room for people with special needs, a medical station, an isolation room and an office for transport police officers. All necessary sanitary and household facilities have been provided.
A modern elevator has been installed to ensure barrier-free access for passengers with special needs. The 540-meter-long passenger platform has also been renovated.
The surrounding area has been fully landscaped and greened. CCTV cameras and a public address system have been installed on the station premises. The pedestrian bridge has been upgraded, and around 10 new jobs have been created.
Tulkubas railway station is one of the important facilities within the region’s passenger transportation and transport logistics system. The station plays a strategic role in ensuring convenient transport connections for local residents as well as passengers travelling to and from the district.
