A festive «Zhastar Fest – 2026» festival was held at ShymCity Park on August 12 to mark International Youth Day.
Organized by the Youth Resource Center, the concert was aimed at supporting the artistic talents and creativity of young people in the city.
The celebration opened with the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, followed by a performance by the Shamsinur dance ensemble. The festival featured a vibrant concert programme for young people, with performances by well-known artists.
Deputy Akim of the city Sarsen Kuranbek noted that the necessary conditions are being created for young people to develop and realize their potential. During the event, he presented cash prizes to the winners of the «Zhas Mobilograf» competition, organized as part of efforts to prevent drug addiction.
Chairman of the City Council of Veterans Kenzhekhan Tolebayev congratulated young people on the occasion and presented letters of appreciation from the Akim of the city to active young citizens involved in public activities. Rectors of the city’s higher education institutions also addressed the audience with congratulations and best wishes.
The concert programme featured performances by Baglan Zholdasov, Astana Kargabay, Syrym Isabayev, Kuanysh Abzhappar and Alua Mergen, who entertained residents and guests of the city with their musical performances.
As part of the «ZHASTAR FEST – 2026» project, winners of competitions in the «Oqyrman», «Stand Up», «Poetry», «Acoustic» and «Contemporary Dance» categories were also recognized and awarded.
The evening concluded with performances by the Shamsinur dance ensemble, the Art Show group and the Burkhan Style drum show.
The «ZHASTAR FEST – 2026» festival was a vibrant celebration that brought the city’s young people together and provided a platform for them to showcase their talents, creativity and potential.
