Kazakhstan has launched the application process for state educational grants allocated by local executive bodies. This year, 2,392 grants have been allocated across the regions to train specialists in fields that are in high demand.
The grants are available for bachelor’s, master’s and residency programs.
The largest number of grants was allocated by:
- Astana — 303 grants;
- Shymkent — 285;
- East Kazakhstan Region — 270;
- West Kazakhstan Region — 211;
- Abai Region — 200;
- Turkistan Region — 200;
- Akmola Region — 199;
- Karaganda Region — 198;
- Atyrau Region — 187;
- Mangystau Region — 163.
The remaining regions have also allocated around 100 grants each for applicants.
The educational grants are aimed at training specialists in the most in-demand fields and addressing the workforce needs of Kazakhstan’s regions.
