The premiere screening of the documentary film “4739” by the Khabar Agency took place in Astana.
The film explores the topic of organ transplantation, the work of transplant surgeons, and the personal stories of people awaiting life-saving operations.
The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva, Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akmaral Alnazarova, prominent doctors, scientists, public figures, transplant recipients and their families, as well as the filmmakers and the people featured in the documentary.
Opening the premiere, Aida Balayeva noted that President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasizes that the health of the nation is one of the country’s highest priorities. The President has also highlighted the consistent development of organ transplantation in Kazakhstan and the high professional level of domestic medical specialists.
Today, Kazakh doctors perform highly complex transplant operations that require advanced technologies, extensive training, and coordinated teamwork among medical professionals, Balayeva said.
