Kazakh performers have won two awards at the “Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk” international arts festival.
Kazakhstan’s singers Akerke Amalyat and Jasmina Tuzelova became laureates of international music competitions held as part of the 35th International Festival of Arts “Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk.”
Akerke Amalyat won the First Prize at the 35th International Pop Song Performers Competition “Vitebsk-2026.” Following two days of competition, Kazakhstan’s representative scored 134 points.
Performers from 19 countries took part in the competition. Another award for Kazakhstan was brought home by 13-year-old Jasmina Tuzelova, who became a Second Prize laureate at the 23rd International Children’s Music Competition “Vitebsk-2026.” The young performer demonstrated a high level of vocal ability and stage presence.
In addition, Jasmina Tuzelova received a special certificate for the creation of an original song. The award was established by a member of the international jury, Latvian composer Gaitis Lazdans.
The international pop song performance competitions are traditionally held as part of the “Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk” festival and bring together young artists from different countries.
