A special meeting on preparations for the election of Kurultai deputies, scheduled for August 23, was held under the chairmanship of Kuanysh Alibekov, Head of the Office of the Akim of Turkistan.
The meeting focused on the readiness of polling stations, information and outreach activities, and the city’s socio-political situation.
Responsible departments were instructed to ensure that polling stations have the necessary material and technical resources, proper sanitary conditions, internet access and backup power supplies. Particular attention was paid to creating convenient conditions for citizens with special needs to exercise their right to vote.
On election day, measures will be taken to maintain public order and organize duty shifts for medical and emergency services. The headquarters operating under the city Akimat will also work around the clock.
Information and awareness-raising activities for residents will continue through social media and mass media. A «mini-PSC» service will be organized at six polling stations across the city to provide information on temporary registration opportunities for citizens who do not have registration at their place of residence.
At the end of the meeting, heads of all responsible organizations were instructed to ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of the assigned tasks and to operate in an enhanced mode during the election period.
