On a long journey, even a short stop can help passengers and drivers regain their energy and continue their trip feeling refreshed. The opportunity to rest and stretch along the way is an important part of modern road infrastructure.
Such an opportunity is available at the 548th kilometer of the Karaganda–Zhezkazgan highway in the Ulytau Region. A modern sanitary facility for drivers and passengers operates here.
The facility includes separate sanitary rooms for men and women, showers, as well as areas for rest and meals. After several hours on the road, drivers and passengers can stop, take a break and then continue their journey.
Today, such facilities are becoming an integral part of national highways. Currently, around 180 modern sanitary facilities are operating along Kazakhstan’s republican roads.
For KazAvtoZhol, roadside services are an important indicator of road quality. A modern road should be more than smooth and safe — it should provide comfortable conditions for people throughout their journey.
That is why work to develop roadside infrastructure continues. Sanitary facilities, rest areas and other service facilities are being gradually upgraded and improved.
As the Kazakh saying goes, “Only those who have traveled the road know its hardships.” A good road is not only one that takes you safely and comfortably to your destination, but also one that gives you the opportunity to stop, rest and continue your journey with renewed energy.
