A truck collided with a passenger bus in Almaty while attempting to make an illegal turn. The truck driver entered the oncoming bus lane while trying to turn around in an unauthorized location.
The driver of bus No. 238 managed to brake and attempted to avoid the collision, but was unable to prevent the impact.
As a result of the crash, several windows of the bus were broken, and glass fragments scattered throughout the passenger cabin. Five passengers were inside the bus at the time of the accident. One woman suffered minor cuts from broken glass, but she did not require hospital treatment.
Police are currently conducting an investigation into the road accident. The truck driver said that he did not notice the bus.
