The Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan is strengthening the digitalization of school healthcare.
In 2026, the procedure for organizing and conducting preventive medical checkups for children was revised, with a stronger focus on the early detection of diseases.
For the first time, the examination of all children is planned to make extensive use of digital diagnostic devices, including ECG machines, digital stethoscopes, pulse oximeters, otoscopes, intraoral cameras, and other AI-powered technologies.
The Digital Child Registry, launched in 2025, enables monitoring across 54 indicators — from preventive examinations and the identification of risk factors to the development of an individual medical pathway, referrals to specialists, and ongoing health monitoring.
Healthcare information systems have also been fully integrated with the National Educational Database. This enables access to up-to-date information on students’ schools and healthcare enrollment, preventive examinations, vaccinations, and health groups.
