In 2026, Kazakhstan plans to commission 18 student dormitories with a total capacity of 6,857 places.
The new dormitories are being equipped with students’ needs in mind and designed to provide comfortable living conditions. In Astana, for example, two new dormitories at the Kazakh National University of Sport are ready to accommodate more than 1,500 students. Their opening is scheduled for this week, on August 22.
In Almaty, a modern 339-bed dormitory operated by the International Educational Corporation was commissioned this year.
Work is currently underway to commission seven more dormitories. Another 11 dormitories are planned to be put into operation by the end of the year.
