Kazakhstan’s Grain Harvest Reaches 1.3 Million Tonnes
According to operational data from regional authorities, Kazakhstan is nearing the completion of its winter crop harvest. The average yield currently stands at 19.1 centners per hectare.
To date, the country has harvested 1.3 million tonnes of grain, including 890,400 tonnes of wheat, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reported.
Meanwhile, the harvesting of vegetables and melons is continuing across the country. So far, farmers have collected 339,000 tonnes of vegetables and 140,000 tonnes of melons and gourds.
