As part of the implementation of the President’s instructions on introducing artificial intelligence and transforming public services, Kazakhstan has transitioned to a unified development environment for digital products — QazTech.
The platform has been operational since April 1 this year and is designed to reduce the time required to develop and launch new digital services from several years to just a few weeks.
“The Government has approved a two-year plan for migrating existing systems to QazTech. This year, the migration of 39 systems is planned, with work on 36 of them nearing completion. Another 25 systems are currently undergoing migration and development outside the original plan, while 10 systems are already fully operational on the platform. In other words, the work is progressing ahead of schedule, and today all government agencies are already working with QazTech,” Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Zhaslan Madiyev said at a Government meeting.
According to him, Kazakhstan has also introduced a moratorium on the development of government information systems outside the QazTech platform.
A new version of the eGov 3.0 portal has also been launched. The update is aimed at streamlining the delivery of public services, eliminating unnecessary requirements and reducing the load on digital infrastructure.
“The eGov portal was operating at the limits of its technological capabilities. Therefore, a modern eGov 3.0 portal, developed on the QazTech platform, was launched recently. Public services are being simplified as much as possible and made more convenient for users. Unnecessary requirements and steps are being eliminated. Some of the most in-demand services are already available in the new format,” Zhaslan Madiyev reported.
