President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan congratulated President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the successful conduct of the first elections for deputies of the unicameral Kurultai.
The Turkish President expressed confidence that this historic event would contribute to Kazakhstan’s further political and socio-economic progress. He also proposed strengthening interparliamentary cooperation.
The Head of State thanked the Turkish leader for his warm congratulations, as well as for Türkiye’s active participation in the election observation mission, including through international organizations.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that the large-scale reforms being implemented in Kazakhstan are aimed at building a progressive, modern and just state.
During the conversation, the two leaders noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of bilateral relations based on enduring friendship and an expanded strategic partnership.
President Tokayev highlighted the importance of the agreements reached during President Erdoğan’s state visit to Astana in May.
The sides also discussed the schedule of upcoming international events.
The Head of State expressed his gratitude for President Erdoğan’s invitation to participate in a number of important high-level meetings scheduled to take place in Türkiye later this year.
