Shymkent Mayor Gabit Syzdykbekov took part in the first elections of deputies to the new unicameral Kurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The mayor of the metropolis cast his ballot at polling station No. 231.
Today, elections of Kurultai deputies are being held across the country. In Shymkent, voting has been organized at 365 polling stations.
The polling stations opened at 7:00 a.m. and will remain open until 8:00 p.m.
