A meeting on the employment of unemployed citizens and NEET youth (young people who are not in employment, education, or training) was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture and Information, the Ministry of National Economy, as well as deputy governors of Kazakhstan’s regions.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population presented the results of the Employment Plan for priority categories of unemployed citizens, which covers more than 35,000 people. Of these, 8,400 citizens have already found employment, while around 12,000 people have been removed from the unemployment register.
Summing up the meeting, Aida Balayeva instructed relevant authorities to strengthen targeted support for unemployed citizens and NEET youth, ensuring continuous assistance until they secure employment. Special attention was given to the employment of teachers and healthcare workers. Relevant government agencies were tasked with developing additional mechanisms to support their employment.
