Brutal Murder in Semey: Man Faces Trial
In Semey, a criminal case against a man suspected of the particularly brutal murder of his wife has been submitted to court. The investigation into the tragedy has been completed, and the court hearing will begin on July 29.
According to the relatives of the deceased, in April this year, the 52-year-old woman told her husband that she wanted a divorce. However, this decision provoked aggression from the man, and the situation ended in tragedy.
According to Kriminal Kazakhstan, several days later the suspect burned his wife’s clothes, her documents, as well as the documents of their children. Later, he began stalking the woman and struck her about 28 times with a baseball bat. According to the investigation materials, the woman died from the severe injuries she sustained.
The relatives of the deceased claim that the man had abused alcohol for many years, had previously used physical violence against his wife, and continued to pursue her after she decided to leave.
After committing the crime, the suspect fled the scene. However, he was soon detained by police officers and taken into custody.
The criminal case is currently being considered under the article “Murder.” The trial will begin on July 29.
Earlier, police in the Karasai District of the Almaty Region detained a 31-year-old local resident suspected of beating his wife. The man was placed in a temporary detention facility.
