The Tarlan Astana light rail system has introduced a new fare structure, offering passengers more flexible travel options. In addition to single-ride tickets, travelers can now purchase time-based passes and multi-trip packages.
The new passes are priced as follows:
- 1 day – KZT 500;
- 3 days – KZT 1,500;
- 5 days – KZT 2,500;
- 10 days – KZT 4,000;
- 15 days – KZT 5,000;
- 1 month – KZT 7,500;
- 3 months – KZT 20,000.
Passengers can also choose trip packages:
- 5 rides – KZT 900;
- 10 rides – KZT 1,800;
- 20 rides – KZT 3,500;
- 30 rides – KZT 5,000.
Monthly passes purchased before the 15th of the month remain valid until the end of the current month. Passes bought after the 15th become valid from the first day of the following month.
All passes and ride packages are activated after their first validation. Day passes remain valid until the end of the calendar day, while ride packages stay active until all trips have been used.
Travel cards can be purchased and recharged at station ticket offices. Card balances are available at ticket offices and station terminals. Active passes cannot be restored or transferred if a card is lost.
The new fare system currently applies only to the Tarlan Astana LRT network, with plans to integrate it with the city’s bus system in the future.
