A new school for 1,200 students is being built in the Nura district of Astana. Seven billion tenge has been allocated from the Special State Fund to implement the project.
Construction and installation works are currently underway at the site. The school is scheduled to be completed by the end of next year.
The need for a new educational facility is driven by population growth in the capital. Four public schools — No. 84, No. 85, No. 89 and No. 97 — currently operate in the area, but there is still a shortage of student places.
The new school will help reduce the burden on existing educational institutions and provide children with better conditions for quality education.
The project is being implemented as part of the Government’s efforts to develop social infrastructure and improve the quality of life of citizens. The school construction is being funded with proceeds from returned assets.
Overall, the Government has approved funding for more than 500 social projects worth over 610 billion tenge. The funds are being allocated for the construction and modernization of education, healthcare, sports and utility infrastructure facilities across the country.
In the education sector, 17 projects with a total value of 64.4 billion tenge have been approved. The funds will be used to build new educational facilities and create modern learning conditions for children and young people.
