Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev joined the leaders of Central Asian countries at the official opening ceremony of the UIM F1H2O World Championship stage held at Lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan.
Before the competition began, the presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan met with the participating drivers, wishing them success and safe racing. The heads of state were also presented with one of the high-performance racing boats competing in the championship.
The Central Asian leaders then jointly activated a symbolic starting mechanism, officially launching the UIM F1H2O World Championship stage – “Grand Prix Kyrgyz Republic – Issyk-Kul 2026.”
The event features eight teams and 18 drivers representing the United Arab Emirates, Australia, Canada, and several other countries.
This is the first time Kyrgyzstan has hosted a stage of the UIM F1H2O World Championship. Organizers say the Grand Prix is expected to become one of the country’s largest international sporting and cultural events, attracting elite competitors and visitors from around the world.
