Registration for the August Unified National Testing (UNT) begins on July 25 and will continue until August 5 inclusive. Applicants can submit their applications through the website of the National Testing Center at app.testcenter.kz or via the UTO.kz mobile application. The testing itself will take place from August 10 to August 15, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.
The August UNT is intended for applicants who wish to retake the test in order to enter universities on a fee-paying basis. Participants who did not achieve the required threshold score in previous UNT sessions will have another opportunity to take the exam. In addition, applicants who previously participated in the UNT may change their combination of specialized subjects when submitting an application for the August testing session.
When applying, participants can independently choose the testing center, date, and time of the UNT.
The August UNT is open to current and previous years’ school and college graduates, kandas (ethnic Kazakhs who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan), graduates of secondary education institutions who studied abroad, students wishing to transfer from creative educational programs to other fields of study, students transferring from other educational programs to teacher training programs, as well as applicants enrolled in universities on a fee-paying basis who failed to achieve the required threshold scores in the previous academic year.
In addition, college graduates who plan to continue their studies at a university in the same field on a fee-paying basis may be admitted based on the results of an interview. In this case, admission is carried out by university admissions committees.
