By order of the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nurbek Yerlanuly Baizhanov has been appointed Chairman of the Tourism Industry Committee under the Ministry.
Nurbek Baizhanov was born in 1993 in the Ulytau Region. He graduated from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and Turan-Astana University.
He has been in public service since 2017. He began his professional career as an expert at the Department of Tourism Industry of the Ministry of Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Later, he held the positions of expert, chief expert, and head of divisions within the Tourism Industry Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2021 to 2025, he headed the Department of Promotion, Advertising and Marketing, the Department of Investment Attraction and Promotion, the Department of Internal Analysis, as well as the Department for Implementation of Systemic Measures in the Tourism Sector of the Tourism Industry Committee under the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Since July 2025, he has served as Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Industry Committee of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From January 2026 until his appointment, he served as Acting Chairman of the Tourism Industry Committee of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
