Astana has officially launched the Phygital Sports Summit Astana 2026, held as part of the international multi-sport event Games of the Future.
The summit opened with a welcoming address by Kazakhstan’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, Yerbol Myrzabossynov.
The high-level event has brought together sports leaders and government officials from several countries, including UAE Minister of Sports Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, Russian Minister of Sports Mikhail Degtyarev, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Sports Adkham Ikramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, and Belarusian Minister of Sports Sergey Kovalchuk.
Representatives of international sports organizations, technology companies, and experts from around the world are also taking part in the summit, highlighting the growing global interest in phygital sports—a discipline that combines physical competition with digital technologies.
The summit program features a series of panel discussions focused on the future of phygital sports, international cooperation, digital transformation, technological innovation, and the long-term development of the global sports industry.
Organizers expect the event to serve as an international platform for sharing expertise, addressing emerging challenges, and developing joint initiatives aimed at advancing the global phygital movement and strengthening cooperation between sports and technology sectors.
