As part of an initiative launched under the instructions of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kazakhstan continues to expand its network of Houses of Friendship across the country’s regions.
A new facility has been opened in the village of Karnak, near the city of Kentau in the Turkistan Region, becoming an important new center for public harmony and social cohesion.
The new House of Friendship has a seating capacity of 300 and is equipped with modern facilities. The building covers a total area of 2,844.71 square meters.
The center will serve as a venue for public, cultural, and educational events. It provides dedicated space for ethnocultural associations, youth initiatives, and projects aimed at strengthening civic unity, promoting social cohesion, and fostering interethnic harmony.
With the opening of the Karnak facility, Kazakhstan now has 38 Houses of Friendship operating across its regions. These centers bring together ethnocultural associations, government institutions, and civil society organizations, contributing to public dialogue, preserving the country’s rich cultural diversity, and reinforcing interethnic cooperation and national unity.
