Astana is set to host the Future Games 2026, an international phygital sports tournament that will bring together athletes and esports competitors from around the world. Organizers have confirmed the competition schedule, venues, and prize pool ahead of the event.
The tournament will feature eight disciplines: phygital football, phygital basketball, phygital martial arts, phygital shooter, phygital dancing, Dota 2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and PUBG: Battlegrounds.
Competitions will be held across four major sports venues in Kazakhstan’s capital:
- Qazaqstan Athletics Sports Complex;
- Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace;
- BEELINE Arena National Tennis Center;
- Barys Arena.
According to Kazakhstan’s Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports, Serik Zharasbayev, all venues are fully prepared to host the international tournament.
“The total prize pool for the tournament amounts to $4.65 million. I would like to emphasize that the entire prize fund has been secured through sponsorship. The largest prize pools are allocated to the Dota 2 and PUBG: Battlegrounds competitions, with $1 million awarded in each discipline,” Zharasbayev said during a press briefing at the Central Communications Service.
The Future Games combine traditional sports with digital competition, creating a unique phygital format in which participants demonstrate both physical and virtual gaming skills. The 2026 edition is expected to attract leading teams and athletes from across the globe, further strengthening Astana’s position as a host of major international sporting events.
