The newly formed “Adilet” party in the country takes a deep look at the above-mentioned issue. That is why the Chairman of the “Adilet” party, Aibek Dadebay, together with the heads of enterprises of the mining and metallurgy complex in the country, met with representatives of state bodies and industry associations. Due to the increase in demand for rare non-ferrous metals in the market, urgent issues such as development of the mentioned industry, support for domestic enterprises, opening of new production facilities, deep processing of raw materials, training of engineering personnel were discussed at the meeting.

According to Aibek Arkabayuly, it is necessary to change the way of using natural resources. When the state exports raw materials and buys finished products made from those raw materials, the main income, new industries and jobs are created outside of Kazakhstan. Therefore, the step of developing the deep processing of raw materials should become one of the main priorities of the industrial policy.
According to the national mining company “Tau-Ken Samruk”, engaged in geological exploration, production, processing and sale of minerals in the country, last year the mining and metallurgy complex provided about 8 percent of the country’s gross domestic product. During the meeting, industry representatives raised a number of systematic issues. In particular, Executive Director of the Republican Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises Nikolay Radostovets noted that railway transport is of strategic importance for the industry and suggested considering a more balanced way of distribution of revenues from transit transport.
Ruslan Uskinali, the chairman of the board of “Kazakhmys Corporation” LLP, noted that the issue of further development of the industry requires constant interaction between the state, business and society.
“I am sure that the Business Council of the Adilet party will become an effective platform for developing initiatives aimed at developing the domestic industry and strengthening the economy of Kazakhstan,” said Ruslan Uskinali.
The participants also paid special attention to the issues of modernization of enterprises, investment attraction and training of qualified personnel. The participants of the meeting said that natural resources should be the basis for launching new industries, introducing modern technologies and creating new jobs.
Vadim Basin, the head of Qarmet JSC, spoke about the large-scale modernization work being carried out at the enterprise and said that it is impossible to develop production without investing in safety, working conditions and professional personnel.
“For the industrial sector, justice means respect for human labor. The enterprise should develop on its own, not at the expense of security. Investment should be focused not only on equipment, but also on people,” Vadim Basin said.
At the end of the meeting, Aibek Dadebay explained that today it is very important not only to discuss the issue of development of the industry, but also to ensure its implementation. He announced that in the future “Adilet” party will develop a set of unified initiatives for the development of the mining and metallurgy industry. It is based on recommendations of business representatives, industry associations and expert community.
“Today, a lot of specific and really important proposals were made. Each of them will be comprehensively reviewed and systematized and will become a part of the future work of the Business Council. Our task is to ensure that the dialogue between business and the state continues every day,” concluded the Chairman of the People’s Party.
