As part of the implementation of the President’s orders on the development of the transit and transport potential of the country, large-scale construction of railway lines, highways and air hubs is underway in the country.
In the last five years, the total production volume of the transport industry has increased by 3 times. To increase the capacity of railways, 754 kilometers of new lines are being built and 3 thousand kilometers of roads are being renovated. In particular, the construction of the “Moynty – Kyzylzhar” and “Darbaza – Maktaaral” sections will be completed this year, as well as the construction of third roads on the Astana – Karaganda line will begin. At the same time, the social program for the modernization of 124 railway stations, the largest in the country’s history, was launched, the first 30 of which were commissioned by July 1.
The changes will affect other areas as well. 10 thousand kilometers of roads will be repaired in the field of highways. In addition, half of the volume was completed ahead of schedule. The development of aerohubs is focused on 6 major airports. At the same time, modernization of Astana airport becomes a priority – construction works will start next year.
