Kazakhstan has completed the modernization of several railway stations as part of a nationwide program to reconstruct and upgrade 124 railway stations across the country.
In the Atyrau Region, reconstruction works have been completed at the railway stations of Makat, Sagiz, and Dossor. The renovation included a full range of construction and installation works, including the renewal of supporting structures, roofs, and facades, replacement of engineering networks, interior finishing, improvement of surrounding areas, and installation of new furniture and modern equipment.
Domestic construction materials were used during the reconstruction of the three stations. The upgraded facilities now meet modern requirements for safety, accessibility, and passenger comfort, which is expected to improve the quality of services provided to travelers.
Following the modernization works, railway stations in five regions of Kazakhstan were officially put into operation. The renovated facilities include:
- Atyrau Region: Makat, Sagiz, and Dossor stations;
- Almaty Region: Shamalg’an and Kazybek Bek stations;
- Karaganda Region: Dariya and Myrza stations;
- Kyzylorda Region: Sekseuil station;
- Kostanay Region: Zhelezorudnaya station.
The modernization project is being implemented in accordance with instructions from the Head of State as part of a large-scale initiative to reconstruct and upgrade railway infrastructure across Kazakhstan.
The main goal of the program is to improve passenger services, develop transport infrastructure, and create more comfortable conditions at railway facilities throughout the country.
